Gujarat in India. The વાણિયા (Gujarati) or बनिया ( Hindi) world is originated from the vahania વહાણિયા in which વહાણ means Ship. The cast which travels in ships for trading overseas is Vaniya.
The word Khadayata has come from the village khadat near Mahudi in North Gujarat. Originally, invited by The king Mulraj Solanki in 10th century, vast majority of the families lived in villages gifted to them in and around Gujarat. Some of the community members started to migrate for earning and livelihood in the nearest towns and cities in Gujarat. The Khadayata community people have gathered to form the Khadayata Samaj in that city.
Accordingly at Vadodara, the organization “Nadiad Khadayata Samaj” was started before some decades. The samaj has done many social services along with celebration of religious festivals.
Nadiad Khadayata Samaj has now started this website for communication and promoting the basic purpose of the organisation with wider vision and on larger scale for all Khadayata members staying at Vadodara who originally belongs to Nadiad along with all Khadayata community.
We wish to update this page regularly with many more advancement and resources which will be beneficial for all age groups and members families of the organisation.
